POST Houston Tour: From Old Post Office to New Cultural Center!

Howdy yall! We are back in Houston and decided to explore the newly opened POST Houston. What what once the historic Barbara Jordan Post Office in downtown Houston has recently been transformed into what developers hope will be a new cultural destination. This redevelopment project is a showcase for reusing old and historic buildings rather than tearing them down. This building sits 16 acres and holds a food hall, concert venue, available office spaces and rooftop gardens with an incredible view of Houston’s skyline. We had lunch at a contemporary West African-inspired fast-casual restaurant named ChopnBlok and I can't wait to go back! We highly recommend this restaurant as well as the dish titled "The Motherland". Post Houston was open to the public on November 13, 2021 but a large portion of the building remains unoccupied - so far only about 80% of the food hall leased and 35% of the office and retail spaces leased. Thanks for watching y'all :)
