The enormous 3,300-square-foot area restaurant is ready for opening day.

Just in time for the holiday weekend, the staff at Square Pie Guys, one of the top pizzerias in the Bay Area, are prepared to serve their wildly famous dishes at their third new location in Ghirardelli Square.

The big restaurant has a sizable patio with several picnic tables under an awning. It opens its doors on Saturday and is located at 845 Beach Street.

The restaurant also has a lovely view of the sea and the Golden Gate Bridge in the distance.

With its largest kitchen to date, Square Pie Guys will be able to serve up to 76 customers in addition to expanding its delivery service around the city.

The restaurant places a strong focus on technology, from QR codes at the tables to computerized displays tracking orders in the kitchen. To emphasize the importance of technology, the restaurant has a Wi-Fi-controlled plant wall around its neon pizza logo.

The restaurant is most renowned for its Detroit-style pizza, which has a crispy, cheddar cheese crust and thick, airy dough that is cooked in a pan. The Square Pie Guys outlets in SoMa and Oakland, none of which has indoor seating, serve the same quarterly pizza menu.

Customers have many options to choose from, including the traditional 6-by-8-inch pie with 48 pepperoni slices for $23 or the Big Von for $23, which is prepared with Italian sausage, pepperoni, and spicy honey flavored with chiles. Alternately, you may simply customize and decide the ingredients of your pizza.

The famous J-Lin pizza for $24.50, named after the former NBA basketball star Jeremy Lin, who was born and raised in the Bay Area, is one of the rotating specialties. A ricotta white cream sauce, pepperoni, chili flakes, parsley, grana cheese, and green goddess dressing are used to make that pizza, which made its debut last winter.

Customers also have more options than just pizza. The Summer Salad for $14, which is a combination of greens topped with crumbled feta cheese and delicately dressed with lemon vinaigrette, is one of the three salad options the restaurant offers.

The Chilled Bowl Salad for $13 combines beans, broccoli, and greens with a vinaigrette made from sun-dried tomatoes and sunflower seeds.

For a more traditional option, the restaurant offers its beloved wings for $14, which come with tasty sauces.

Among the sides are french fries for $6, cheesy bread for $9, and crispy asparagus for $12.50.

The restaurant is a great option to celebrate the Fourth of July with family and friends.
