Seattle area restaurant groups receive a maximum grant.

The Small Business Association released data about 10,500 restaurants that received grants from the Restaurant Revitalization Fund. There are 2000 restaurants from Seattle and 1000 from Seattle proper. The funds will help restaurants to help with covid-19 driven loss and bounce back to business.

There are three restaurants from the Seattle group that received a maximum payout of $10 million. The three restaurants are Tom Douglas’s Sea-Town Restaurants Inc., Elwood Investments LLC (known as Duke’s), and Schwartz Brothers. There are approximately 3200 businesses in Washington State that received grants.

The data published in the report can not tell us everything, and it also depends on various things like the corporate structure of the restaurant groups. The funds can show an effect on their growth and potential. The funds and the grants will help the restaurant groups to settle and bounce back to the business and manage losses due to the pandemic.
