Who are the Traitors?
The terrorists who stormed the capitol building on January 6, 2021, should be charged with treason. They were not protecting American ideals, they were not protecting the constitution, they were terrorizing our public servants.Read full story
The Real Difference Between Fox News and CNN
“Oh this isn’t social media. This is Trump media. It’s not social media. It’s really not; it’s not social media.”. Why do people think CNN and Fox News are equal news sources? I’m always confused when people who watch Fox News claim that people from the left are brainwashed by liberal media. Other—claiming to be—non-partisans claim CNN is unreliable and their news is skewed. Complaints that CNN won’t report on stories that don’t serve their narrative are typically met with facts that show CNN was unable to confirm the story. But once objective facts are brought to light and made to be verifiable by other sources, CNN will share the negative stories too.Read full story
Is MAGA a Terrorist Organization or a Cult?
I’ve seen this question circulating and as absurd as it is on the surface, there is a real question about whether Trump supporters have been radicalized. While MAGA itself was obviously not created to instill terror or to terrorize people, it simply is a political slogan adopted by far-right supporters who also support other extremist ideologies. Being subject to extremist ideologies becomes easier once you’ve passed through the threshold of acceptance and determined one extreme acceptable.Read full story
Does it Really Matter if God Exists?
There are two ways that can be used to attempt to verify the existence of something, either by falsifying it—showing that it does not or cannot exist, or by using evidentiary standards—demonstrating that the only logical conclusion based on presented evidence is that a specific conclusion is true.Read full story
How About a Little Less Privilege, Please?
Jack Shafer speaks from a position of privilege when he talks about the over-complimentary position of the left-leaning media, which I am sure he is entirely unaware of. White people often are entirely unaware of the depths of their privilege and how far it seeps into different parts of our psyche and impacts the way we form opinions, judgments, and absorb the world.Read full story
How a Puppy Made Me a Better Parent
I didn’t learn to take care of animals or people as a child. My parents were never animal people so I didn’t have a cat or dog. My first pets, rest in the sweetest peace 😔, were a gray and white Maine Coon mix named Jack, and a gorgeous thin calico named Nugz. My husband gifted them to me for my 21st birthday.Read full story
Do You Think You're Racist?
I bet you think you’re not racist. I used to think I wasn’t but now I see it. Just because I don’t say mean things, act inappropriately, or consciously admit to myself that I think differently of other races doesn’t mean I'm clear of the racism fog. I’m not.Read full story
How to Disengage with Radicalized Trump Supporters

Who are the True Internet Trolls?
I didn’t even know it was happening to me. In 2015 I found out I was pregnant with my first child and joined a pregnancy app that also had a community for parents to connect. It became a great place to learn about pregnancy, what it was like having children (not the pretty stories all over mom blogs, but real testaments). I learned that there were people who didn’t believe in vaccines, people who thought the earth was flat, I learned that I was racist and the reason we exist the way we do is because of colonizers, so many things I hadn’t learned anywhere else. The internet is a rabbit hole, no matter how good your intentions. It’s one shiny object after another and then all of a sudden you have no idea how you got to where you ended up.Read full story
Anti-Racism for White People
As white people, we have a lot of work to do in regards to anti-racism, which is a new concept for many of us. Anti-racism is aboutcombattingthe racism that exists, in all its form. Your Children Don't Owe You Any Money
I believe as a parent I have a responsibility to be a safe space for my children. I need to give them a landing pad in the world where they can start building a strong foundation. I want my children to have the stability of untethered support behind them. The world will not offer them unconditional love or support, my children will need to earn everything, including decency and respect. The world will teach my children lessons I do not have to about money and transactional relationships. Only I have the ability to teach my children about non-transactional relationships, which are the most fundamentally and essentially human relationships to have.Read full story
How to Eliminate Government Welfare Programs
During the recent virus outbreak, a bright light was shown on the negative impacts massive wage disparities have on Americans. There are concerns that children who can’t attend school won’t be able to eat. Or parents who live paycheck to paycheck will lose their jobs or their homes. Or people who are sick won't be able to afford their deductibles or copays, so they may not seek treatment… the proposed solutions have been cut taxes, increase government funding, utilize assistance programs.Read full story
Why Should We Have to Work for Money?

The One Reason You'll Never Get A Higher-Paying Job
Almost one third of the US workforce is living in poverty. The poverty level, according to the government, is just over $12,000 per year for one person. The cost of living for one person, per year, is just over $13,000. Minumum wage of $7.25 allows for individuals to earn $15,000 before taxes, which is a take home pay of approximately $12,000. Allowing companies to employ people at poverty level ensures those employees will be able to access government benefits—tax money paid by other workers—rather than be able to cover their cost of living through their employer.Read full story
The Pro-Life Movement is Not Anti-Choice
Don't tell people they're not the label they've chosen to adopt. I support the pro-choice argument that more abortions could be avoided through various societal changes, access to healthcare, fewer barriers to facilitating survival, and more education. I don't support the idea that the term 'pro-life' has—or should have—a certain definition. Taking someone's label from them and reapplying it to other circumstances is aggressive and disrespectful.Read full story
How to Stop Losing Your Arguments
What do you have to do to get people on your side?. Only four states have laws regarding embryos in the United States. Otherwise, the guidelines go contract by contract. Once a couple has decided they're done having children, they need to make a decision on storing, donating, or destroying their embryos. Because of the limited laws addressing embryos, a donation is often not an option, leaving implantation of all remaining embryos—obviously extremely costly not only to go through implantation but then to have all of those children—destruction, as in termination of life, or infinite storage—also extremely costly and seemingly without a purpose.Read full story
Uncovering the True Frauds of Government Assistance
Government assistance programs are fundamentally un-American, in their current structure. Government assistance programs are essentially being used as a subsidy for unpaid wages. If an employee is earning $7.25/hour and the cost of living is $9.50/hour, they can automatically qualify for food stamps or daycare vouchers, or housing assistance. Paying employees below poverty levels, regardless of the skills required or the perceived value of the job, is socially irresponsible. If a business paid responsible wages, we wouldn't need supplemental government assistance programs, and would therefore be able to reserve assistance for the portion of our population who truly meets barriers to employment either due to ability, age, or illness.Read full story

Clarifying Your Misconceptions on Marriage
Marriage is not about love. Marriage can be any two things tied together contractually and doesn’t have to be based on feelings at all. Which is why it’s confusing when people believe they need to get married, or that their relationship is not something they want it to be because they’re not yet married.Read full story
