Lollapalooza and Spring Awakening are back on for the 2021 season.

This is incredible news for music, rave, and concert enthusiasts and the positivity is spreading all over social media.

My girlfriend and I already have plans for these events and it’s sparking tons of excitement for both of us. If you’re someone who loves going to shows and experiencing all the lights, music, and great setups, then you’re definitely excited as well.

Spring Awakening (an EDM festival) announced its lineup on May 17th. Lollapalooza announced its lineup on May 19th. These two events honestly came out of the blue and got me even more thrilled for the summer.

The events released their lineups and there are so many great acts. If you’re not from the Chicagoland area, I highly recommend visiting these incredible festivals.

There’s always something to do in Chicago. We have Lake Michigan, amazing food on every corner, tons of bike paths, and it’s an overall great place to live for young people.

Incredible artists on this year’s lineups include the following:

  • Post Malone
  • Marshmello
  • Slander
  • Galantis
  • Excisision
  • Said The Sky
  • Martin Garrix
  • Two Friends
  • And plenty more!

Music festivals are an escape from reality. They are a break from day-to-day life and complete immersion into an enchanted world.

Since I deployed in 2019, it’s been nearly two years since I’ve attended a live show and I’m very pleased with music festivals and their return.

If you haven’t completed your vaccine dosages, it’s advised you do so to attend these events safely.

My girlfriend and I will be attending these shows responsibly by continuing to wear masks and applying hand sanitizer whenever possible.

The more people we have vaccinated, the less chance of the spread of Covid — something I’m sure most of us are fed up with.

Life is slowly but surely returning to “normal” and this initial reopening of social gatherings is a spark amidst this restricting lifestyle we’re all putting up with.

Cheers to Summer 2021. And cheers to putting this Pandemic behind us.
