If you’re looking for a movie that’s filled with action, drama, emotion, and even some laughter. The Lone Survivor was led by actor Mark Walberg and he played it perfectly.
It’s the story of a group of Navy Seals that are placed on a very intense mission and are forced to make quick decisions and simply survive.
This film is different from watching a war documentary because it focuses on a select number of individuals and you’re able to grow an emotional attachment to them.
Having served in the Army and deployed overseas, I had never experienced anything as crazy as the stuff in this movie. A lot of the scenarios are situations I’m trained for, but you never think it’ll actually happen to you until you’re in it.
The common theme in Lone Survivor is overcoming adversity. Just when things seem smooth and predictable, the unthinkable happens and you begin to lose all your optimism.
It’s crazy to think that The Lone Survivor is based on a true story because if I were ever put in that situation, it would be scarring and cause PTSD.
Action, you got it. Great acting, you got it. Heated, intense moments, you bet. Will it have you maybe even break a tear, oh yeah.
This film motivated me to go out there and achieve anything I want and to never ever give up even when the odds are stacked against you. I already knew it, but seeing it right before your eyes is on a whole other level.
If you’re looking for something that will make you want to tell your friends, check out The Lone Survivor.
