Growing up, I loved reading Robert Frost’s inspirational material.

Frost has been an icon in the writing world along with Ernest Hemingway and Stephen King, and many more. Writers come up with a lot of inspirational quotes at one point or another.

Many years back, Robert Frost had this phenomenal quote:

In three words I can sum up everything I’ve learned about life: it goes on.
Robert Frost

Something about the way this quote rolls off your tongue allows you to bask in the limelight and appreciate life for what it is. No matter the highs and no matter the lows, “it goes on”. We can all take something positive from Frost’s quote because we’ve all been through hell and back.

If we were to put life in graph format, we would see that it’s not going to always be upward trending and full of positivity. There are going to be days where your heart is broken, you’re let down, and you lose people you care about.

On the other end of the spectrum, there are going to be days filled with love, joy, success, surprises, and unforgettable experiences. Either way, life goes on. It’s going to go on as long as you can eat, drink, and keep the heart in your chest pumping.

Thanks to Robert Frost, I’m able to be grateful for every single day that I get to exist on this Earth. Any and every person who comes into my life makes an impact whether it’s big or small. I am thankful for every interaction I encounter whether it be for a short time or a long time.

The relationships we surround ourselves with in life are the antidote to being happy. You can have everything you’ve ever wanted materialistically, but without anyone to share those tangible goods with will end up leaving you feeling sad and empty inside.

It goes on. It goes on. It goes on. No matter how downright negative life gets, it goes on. You have to keep your vision on the things you want in life like a well-paying job, a healthy body, crossing off things on your bucket list, good friends, good food, and so much more. Never lose sight of the things you want in life because quite frankly, life is too short.

We can’t take life for granted because the day we end up on our death beds is the day for regret and dissatisfaction to settle in. While we have today and this current moment, let’s appreciate it and enjoy every second of it.

Robert Frost has ways of making sense of the most complex things such as life, but that’s why I and many other people look up to him. He’s a true inspiration and a life-changer.

Remember that you are not alone in this journey of life.

It goes on, and when life is all said and done, please remember to appreciate every moment of it.

Thanks for reading,
