Yankees stay hot, sweep White Sox at home

The New York Yankees have looked like an entirely different team in the month of May. After finishing the first month of the season with a 12-14 record, the Yankees have won 16 of 21 games to move within a half-game of first place in the American League East. The story of the past week has been the dominance of their starting rotation, as Corey Kluber, Domingo German, Jordan Montgomery, Gerrit Cole and most recently Jameson Taillon have combined for 35 consecutive scoreless innings. Gleyber Torres might finally be returning to form as well, as he logged eight hits in 12 at-bats during the series against the White Sox. The Yankees now open a set at home against the Toronto Blue Jays, who have lost five in a row, and then head to Detroit to face the lowly Tigers. By the end of the next six games, the Yankees could very well hold baseball's best record.
