Aaron Judge hits four homers in series win, Mets get swept and lose Conforto
It was a tale of two cities for the Mets and Yankees this weekend. Over at Camden Yards, the Yankees would take two of three games from the Orioles, thanks in part to an offensive outburst. They'd get four homers from Aaron Judge, and more from Clint Frazier and Gary Sanchez in the series finale. They'd get solid pitching performances out of Corey Kluber and Domingo German in games one and two. Over at Tropicana Field, the Mets' seven-game win streak came to a screeching halt via a sweep from the Rays. They'd lose game one via walk off, and the offense would be shut down the rest of the way. They also would lose Jeff McNeil and Michael Conforto, both to hamstring issues, so injured-list stints may be coming soon. They head to Atlanta next for an important three-game set with the Braves.
