Health care professionals are no longer required to get vaccinated against COVID

The number of Colorado residents infected with COVID did not soar in the summer of 2021 as it did in the summer of 2022. Although Eric France was Colorado's Chief Medical Officer at the time, he was concerned about an increase in instances.

The state made healthcare workers get vaccinated so that medical experts and their intellectual property would be safe.

Due to a lack of vaccinations in the last several months, France added. Only around six out of ten healthcare workers were immunised.

Two things are clear: France and CDPHE were correct on both fronts. Healthcare workers who didn't want to get vaccinated were forced to because it was a requirement. This kept them from getting sick during the outbreak that CDPHE had predicted.

According to France, staff vaccination rates have increased to 90 to 93 percent.

The immunisation rate among healthcare workers has risen to 94 percent, one year after the outbreak of the disease. COVID rates are growing again, but CDPHE opted to suspend the obligation due to the high immunisation rate among health care workers. Some could see it as a positive development.

"It is possible that some of the people who have decided not to get vaccinated may find employment opportunities in certain of our rural areas," France said.

However, this does not imply that those who have not been immunised may work anywhere. It is still up to the organisations to maintain their own vaccination policies. For healthcare personnel, there is still a federal vaccination obligation.

Despite the fact that France no longer enforces a governmental vaccination obligation for health care professionals, it has once again shown that immunisation is the best method to protect yourself against the potentially lethal and life-changing impacts of COVID.

There's no need to worry about ending up in the hospital or the ICU because of COVID using this method, according to France.
