(Forsyth County, GA) A new study ranks several of Forsyth County’s high schools as the best in the state. released its list of the best public high schools in Georgia this week. The county’s highest-rated high school is Lambert High School, which ranks No. 4.

One student wrote this review: “Lambert is a fabulous school with a wonderful staff, would highly recommend! I as a student would want anyone to go who is looking or considering going to. It is a bit packed, but they take every precaution necessary for students to be safe and secure. In my two years attending I have gotten so attached that I prefer spending time with the staff than the students who go there which isn’t saying much but they are all so personable. I had a conversation with the assistant principal today for the school's newspaper, and he was as transparent and honest as he could be about the school and its staffing.”.

South Forsyth High School ranked No. 6 in the state, according to the list.

“I had left private school to get a public school experience, and I’m really happy with choosing South Forsyth High School for my last two years of high school. I went to South for two years and overall had a very great experience. The staff and teachers were very kind and very helpful. If I ever had a question or needed extra help, the teachers were always open to helping me. That’s something I was scared about going from a small school to a big school, but South did just that for me, and ended up on honor roll! I definitely recommend going to South Forsyth High School if you want a great education and have a great high school experience,” wrote one student.

Denmark High School, which opened in 2018, entered the rankings at No. 19.

“Amazing teachers, great pathways and many options. I would say I wish there were more advance options for classes. Other schools in the area have IB, and I feel the school and students would benefit greatly. I’ve never once had a teacher that wasn’t willing to help and you can tell they love their job. Overall great experience!” wrote one student.

According to, the Best Public High Schools ranking is based on rigorous analysis of academic and student life data from the U.S. Department of Education, along with test scores, college data, and ratings collected from millions of Niche users.

The highest-ranked school in the state is the Gwinnett School of Mathematics, Science, and Technology.
