(Forsyth County, GA) A man working at a site in Cumming is badly injured after being attacked by two men on the job. Those suspects are charged with aggravated battery.

On July 12, a Forsyth County Sheriff’s Deputy responded to Northside Forsyth to investigate a possible assault.

The deputy talked to the victim, who was having a skull X-ray. The victim had multiple lacerations, part of his ear torn, and head swelling. The victim told the deputy he was working at 101 Greenfield Drive in Cumming,

The report indicates while the victim was carrying supplies an argument started, the victim was hit with a piece of wood, and co-workers began beating him.

The victim was transported to the hospital where doctors informed him he had a compressed skull fracture and possible bleeding on the brain.

After further investigation, deputies arrested Kawane Gordon, 23, Zion Gordon, 21, and Javse Gordon, 20, all from Lithonia, and charged them with aggravated battery.

On July 27, officers were dispatched to the Publix at 3120 Mathis Airport Parkway regarding a robbery that turned violent.

At the rear exit, a female employee was leaving the store and observed a man stealing cigarettes.

“She stated that when she confronted the male he became argumentative and when she attempted to retrieve the cigarettes, the suspect struck her in the face,” the report reads. “She stated that during the altercation the suspect struck her in the face multiple times and restrained her by pinning her to the ground with his knee on her throat.”

The employee followed the suspect and grabbed a ride from a pizza delivery man to track the suspect.

The suspect, who fled on a bicycle, was located behind a small hill in a church parking lot. He was identified as David Johnson, 49, of Lithonia, and had an active warrant from another jurisdiction. He was charged with strong arm robbery and aggravated battery.
