The original dishes of Los Angeles!

People believe that Los Angeles has not contributed much to the American culture rather than film and arts. There is much more to that, and LA has invented some of its dishes that people hardly know. Some of the famous and delicious dishes that LA invented

Oyster Cocktail

In July 1894, Al Levy began selling 'California Oyster Cocktail' out of his pushcart. He combined LA's two habits of drinking and seafood, and it went super hit.

The Hot Fudge Sundae

Clarence Clifton became the first person to pour some ice cream sundae. The tourists and the celebrities cemented the hot fudge sundae as an American classic.

The Cheeseburger

The cheeseburger has a funny story. Rumour has it that the burger burnt from the sides, and the owner spread some cheese to cover the burns, and that's how the cheeseburger was invented.

The Cobb Salad

The owner went into the kitchen to serve his glitterati guests, and he grabbed everything he found in the kitchen. The Cobb Salad has lettuce, watercress, tomato, roasted chicken, bacon, avocado, egg, chives, cheese, and French dressing.

The Chinese Chicken Salad

The Chinese Chicken Salad is a dish made by Madame Sylvia at her restaurant in Santa Monica in the 1960s. One day Cary Grant visited the restaurant and demanded a chicken salad, which he had earlier. Madame recreated the chicken salad to the Chinese Chicken Salad.
