The President of Hard Rock Hotel & Casino - Bristol, Allie Evangelista, said she can't wait until the doors open on the temporary casino. Evangelista says they are still hiring team members and working to fill positions with hiring events over the next couple of months - two hiring events will be held during the first week of April. She says this is next step in completing the full-scale resort and casino in Bristol, Virginia.

Amenities

The temporary casino will consist of 30,000 square feet of casino with 900 slot machines, 20 tables and a sports book for other gaming options. The release states the space will have a Hard Rock merchandise store with displays featuring the future facility being constructed, according to Kimberly Prince.

Prince says the gaming space will include a non-smoking and high limit gaming area. Other amenities include a new restaurant, grab and go food outlet, sports bar and lounge - with entertainment, adjacent to a smoking sports lounge.

According to Danny Stupp at Play Virginia, the casino is expected to create 600 new jobs in Bristol. The city expects the job market to include expansion not only within the casino, but an expansion of both public and private job growth with the expansion of infrastructure needed to support the casino.
