Travel Tuesday - Visit One of Tennessee's Hidden Gems - David Crockett Birthplace State Park
Located just off of US 11E on the Nolichucky River, David Crockett Birthplace State Park is near the Washington County-Greene County line in Tennessee. The park offers camping with full hook-ups, group camping, etc. It's the perfect place for a quiet off-season getaway, or enjoy the waters of the river for fishing, kayaking, etc. It's also a great place for bird watching. The park is home to a replica of the Crockett cabin where Davy Crockett was born. The area is home to several historical markers and the Crockett homestead. You'll find a museum and more at this out-of-the-way state park. It's a great place for some personal time to unwind and relax.
