Travel Tuesday: Prepping the Dirt at Bristol Motor Speedway

Casual observers might miss it, but there is dirty work going on at Bristol Motor Speedway. It’s evident from the dirt piled near the dragway entrance. The speedway is preparing the concrete racing surface for another spring of dirt racing on the iconic speedway in Bristol, Tennessee. We are expecting plenty of racing, starting with Karl’s Kustoms Bristol Dirt Nationals March 20-April 16. Next, we’ll see Pinty’s Truck Race on Dirt April 16, followed by the Food City Dirt Race April 17. These will be followed by Street Fights #1 April 23 and then the World of Outlaws Bristol Bash April 28-30. There’s a lot of racin’ the way it ought to be in Bristol this spring.
