Six new Fatburger restaurants have been formally announced as coming to the state of Texas... among "approximately 50" others said to be in the company's statewide pipeline.

According to a report this week from, the entity's parent company has announced six new franchised Fatburger locations are coming first to Hidalgo County, Texas over the next five years.

As excerpted from the report: "The Fatburger brand continues to expand in Texas," Taylor Wiederhorn, chief development officer of FAT Brands, said in a company press release. "Fatburger has a pipeline of approximately 50 restaurants to be built in Texas alone and the franchisee demand to develop more Fatburger restaurants throughout the state has not slowed down. We look forward to adding six more restaurants to our existing development pipeline in Texas with further growth near the southern border."

For perspective, per’s most recently-updated location count of the Fatburger fast food chain: There are 106 Fatburger restaurants in the United States as of September 28, 2023. The state with the most number of Fatburger locations in the US is California, with 57 restaurants, which is about 54% of all Fatburger restaurants in the US.
