I write extensively about the Golden Corral restaurant chain. Of late, most of my articles have detailed recent individual location closures. In that spirit, now comes word of yet another permanent Golden Corral closure, this one in Missouri and said to be quite unexpected.

Let us explore.

Golden Corral, 2023

According to a September 28th report from The-Sun.com, the buffet chain shut its Osage Beach doors for the last time on Sunday, September 24, according to Lake Expo.

As excerpted from the report: Golden Corral closed its Osage Beach, Missouri (restaurant) last week... Customers were notified by a paper note taped onto the restaurant’s door. The note said: “We sincerely THANK YOU for years of dedication and loyalty. But unfortunately, this location is closing its doors permanently, effective 9/24/23..."

No official reason has yet been given for the closure. The nearest open Golden Corral location is reportedly approximately 90 miles away in Springfield.

Per ScrapeHero.com's most recently updated Golden Corral restaurant count: There are 396 Golden Corral restaurants in the United States as of August 23, 2023. The state with the most number of Golden Corral locations in the US is Texas, with 55 restaurants, which is about 14% of all Golden Corral restaurants in the US.

In the event of pertinent updates to this matter, inclusive of announced reason for the closure. I will share them here on NewsBreak.
