Introduction

Despite the permanent closure of two Virginia Lidl markets on Sunday, July 16th, the company continues to expand in the state.

Firstly, as I had previously covered on NewsBreak, July 26th saw the opening of the first of the new referenced locations. Per a July 10th report from WTOP.com: Lidl will open its latest store July 26 on 9001 White Spruce Way in Lorton in the mixed-use development Liberty.

Shortly thereafter, on July 31st, it was announced the second of the state’s new Lidl stores was scheduled to open next year in Leesburg.

Today, another new store has been announced as coming to Virginia, this one in Vienna.

Let us explore.

Lidl, 2023

According to a September 26th report from WTOP.com, the new Vienna Lidl is opening October 4th at 8387 Leesburg Pike.

As excerpted from the report: Lidl said it invested millions of dollars in the Vienna location. It created about 35 jobs, with starting pay at $18.50 per hour. Both full- and part-time Lidl employees also receive health care benefits. The store opens at 8 a.m. with gift cards for the first 100 customers. As with other openings, Lidl has partnered with the Capital Area Food Bank for grand opening donations.

The store will reportedly hold an open house from 5PM-7PM the night before.

Conclusion

The upcoming openings of Virginia-based Lidl markets are developing stories. In the event of pertinent updates to these matters, I will share them here on NewsBreak.
