Introduction

In recent days has come word that perhaps the most renowned community hardware store in all of Texas is, imminently, permanently closing.

Let us explore.

Nash True Value, 2023

According to a September 26th report from The-Sun.com, the Nash True Value in Jacksboro, Texas, is permanently shuttering after the owners decided to retire.

As excerpted from the report: The store is on its fourth generation of ownership, according to the Jacksboro Herald-Gazette. William "Lee" Nash opened the hardware store in 1923 before passing on the store to his children. Now, Tammy Malone, Doug Malone, and Holly Berglund - the great-great-grandchildren - have retired.

The store is closing September 28th, when it will also be holding a liquidation sale.
