Wikipedia features a comprehensive and well-attributed overview of the stalwart Marshalls department store chain: Marshalls is an American chain of off-price department stores owned by TJX Companies. Marshalls has over 1,000 American stores, including larger stores named Marshalls Mega Store, covering 42 states and Puerto Rico, and Canada.
T.J. Maxx and HomeGoods are also owned by TJX Companies.
Per ScrapeHero.com’s most recently updated count of individual U.S. Marshalls stores: There are 1,190 Marshalls stores in the United States as of September 20, 2023. The state with the most number of Marshalls locations in the US is California, with 148 stores, which is about 12% of all Marshalls stores in the US.
To those U.S. numbers will soon be added another. Now comes word that a new Marshalls is targeted to open later this year in Indiana.
Let us explore.
According to a report from The Evening News and the Tribune, Jeffersonville, Indiana via News.Yahoo.com, the new Marshalls is replacing an Office Depot that shuttered in February.
As excerpted from the report: A new tenant in New Albany Plaza is eying an opening in a few months. Retailer Marshalls, known for its deals on brand-name clothes, shoes and more, is remodeling the former Office Depot space at 310 New Albany Plaza. "We anticipate that the new Marshalls store in New Albany, Indiana will open this fall (or) winter season," said Marshalls Marketing Supervisor Cassidy Kelly.
This is a developing story. In the event of pertinent updates to these matters — inclusive of progress and specific announced opening date – I will share them here on NewsBreak.
