A new Kroger market is coming to Plano, Texas, and this week ground has been broken. It should be noted the upcoming location is said to be the size of a large-format Walmart.
Firstly, per ScrapeHero.com's most recently-updated store location count: There are 1,274 Kroger stores in the United States as of September 11, 2023. The state with the most number of Kroger locations in the US is Texas, with 209 stores, which is about 16% of all Kroger stores in the US.
Let us explore.
According to a September 21st report from CommunityImpact.com, the upcoming location will open in late 2024 and is expected to create up to 150 jobs in the area.
As excerpted from the report: Construction officially began on a new Kroger Marketplace store in north Plano. The 124,000-square-foot store at the southwest corner of SH 121 and Coit Road broke ground on Sept. 20... The new Kroger Marketplace will be replacing the existing store across the street, located at 9700 Coit Road.
The store is expected to be considerably improved in many regards from the entity it is replacing.
This is a developing story. In the event of pertinent updates to these matters, inclusive of construction progress and official announcements of milestone dates, I will share them here on NewsBreak.
