I write extensively about the Cracker Barrel restaurant chain for NewsBreak. In recent months, most of my articles on the subject have detailed unexpected restaurant closures. This piece, however, is different as it serves note of a new Cracker Barrel location delayed opening.
Firstly, per ScrapeHero.com: There are 661 Cracker Barrel restaurants in the United States as of May 10, 2023. The state with the most number of Cracker Barrel locations in the US is Florida, with 60 restaurants, which is about 9% of all Cracker Barrel restaurants in the US.
The new location, in Reno, Nevada, is coming soon though the opening date is still pending.
Let us explore further.
Cracker Barrel, 2023
According to a report from RGJ.com, entitled “Bad News, Y’all: Weather Delays Reno Cracker Barrel Store Opening,” the original delay was announced in March.
It should be noted a new formal date of opening still has yet to be released as of press time.
The report states: Folks fixin’ to try out Cracker Barrel’s meatloaf and “chicken n’ dumplins” in Reno will have to wait longer. The Southern country-themed restaurant chain, which broke ground last year and was originally set to open this spring, has pushed back the completion date of its first Reno location by a few months. “Construction and weather have caused some delays with Reno’s opening,” spokesperson Jennifer Mancuso told the Reno Gazette Journal.
Mancuso said at the time the company was looking at a delayed mid-summer opening, which reportedly is still the case. The restaurant at 935 West Fifth St. was originally slated to open this past spring.
This is a developing story. In the event of pertinent updates to this matter, inclusive of progress and official announcements of milestone dates, I will share them here on NewsBreak.
