Introduction
I have written extensively about the Trader Joe’s market chain for NewsBreak. In that spirit, now comes word that three new U.S. locations are targeted to open this year and next, including one in Louisiana.
We will cover this development in a moment. Firstly, per ScrapeHero.com’s national location count: There are 562 Trader Joes stores in the United States as of May 16, 2023. The state with the most number of Trader Joes locations in the US is California, with 193 stores, which is about 34% of all Trader Joes stores in the US.
The other two locations said to be opening are both targeted for this year — in New York and Florida.
As it regards the apparent Louisiana location, let us explore further.
Trader Joe’s, 2023
Per a report from EatThis.com, “Trader Joe's Is Opening 3 New Stores—Here's Where the Grocery Chain Is Headed Next,” the Louisiana locale looks to be coming late next year.
As excerpted from the report: According to NOLA.com, the grocery chain has proposed its first New Orleans location, which would open late next year on Tulane Avenue. While the Feil Organization, which owns the property and is currently leading the project, could not reveal the identity of the "specialty grocer" coming to the area, "a source familiar with the project" confirmed that it is Trader Joe's.
Conclusion
The expansion of the Trader Joe’s grocery chain is a developing story. In the event of pertinent updates to this matter, inclusive of official confirmation, opening progress, and any official announcements of milestone dates, I will share them here on NewsBreak.
