I write extensively about the In-N-Out Burger fast food chain for NewsBreak, as the California entity has been ambitiously expanding into new markets of late such as Tennessee.

Now comes word that a new Idaho location, the first in the state, has broken ground.

Per’s current location count of the entity: There are 389 In-N-Out Burger locations in the United States as of March 20, 2023. The state with the most number of In-N-Out Burger locations in the U.S. is California, with 269 locations, which is about 69% of all In-N-Out Burger locations in the U.S.

Let us explore further.

In-N-Out Burger, 2023

According to a report from, entitled “Construction Begins on Idaho’s First In-N-Out Burger,” it appears as though the opening of the new location will be late this year, or early next.

As excerpted from the report: California-based burger chain In-N-Out officially started construction on its new Meridian location Monday. The site is located at 3520 E. Fairview Ave, which is currently a dirt lot inside the parking lot at The Village, south of the H&M store. In-N-Out hired ESI Construction as its general contractor, who recently set up a job trailer nearby. Construction is estimated to be completed in September 2023.

It should be noted as of press time there has yet to be an opening date officially announced by the company.

This is a developing story. In the event of pertinent updates to this matter, inclusive of progress and official announcements of milestone dates, I will share them here on NewsBreak.

Thank you for reading.
