I write extensively about the Golden Corral restaurant chain for NewsBreak. Of late, most of my articles have detailed individual restaurant closures or remodels.
Now comes word that an Illinois location, foreclosed upon in 2021 and assumed by many former customers to be reopening, is indeed being converted into something else altogether.
Per ScrapeHero.com: There are 397 Golden Corral stores in the United States as of February 24, 2023. The state with the most number of Golden Corral locations in the U.S. is Texas, with 55 stores, which is about 14% of all Golden Corral stores in the U.S.
Let us explore further.
Golden Corral, 2023
According to a report from MuddyRiverNews.com, entitled “Former Golden Corral Restaurant to be Converted Into Plasma Collection Center by First Quarter of 2024,” online rumors of the restaurant’s reopening have been effectively discredited.
As excerpted from the report: The former Golden Corral restaurant is going to be converted into one of the fastest growing independent plasma collection operators in the nation. ImmunoTek, which has 30 plasma collection centers throughout the central and eastern United States, is renovating the former restaurant at 3908 Broadway.
The report goes on to state: A Stamford, Conn., corporation named 3908 Broadway Street LLC, managed by Doug Sanders and Jarret Cohen of New York, bought the two-acre lot for $1.275 million on March 17, according to property tax documents filed in the Adams County Recorder’s Office.
This is a developing story. In the event of pertinent updates to this matter, inclusive of progress and official announcements of milestone dates, I will share them here on NewsBreak.
