Introduction
Wikipedia features a comprehensive and well-attributed overview of the In-N-Out hamburger entity: In-N-Out Burger is an American regional chain of fast food restaurants with locations primarily in California and the Southwest. It was founded in Baldwin Park, California, in 1948 by Harry (1913–1976) and Esther Snyder (1920–2006).
As it regards restaurant franchising, the Wikipedia page goes on to state: In-N-Out Burger has chosen not to franchise its operations or go public; one reason is the prospect of quality or customer consistency being compromised by excessively rapid business growth. The In-N-Out restaurant chain has developed a highly loyal customer base and has been rated as one of the top fast food restaurants in several customer satisfaction surveys.
Now comes word that In-N-Out is expanding, in this instance in Redlands, California.
Let us explore.
In-N-Out Burger, 2023
According to a March 17th report from RedlandsDailyFacts.com, entitled “Redlands is Getting its Own In-N-Out Burger,” the upcoming entity is being met with widespread local enthusiasm.
As excerpted from the report: The Redlands Planning Commission on Tuesday, March 14, unanimously approved plans for a new In-N-Out near Citrus Plaza. The restaurant has locations in Yucaipa, Highland and San Bernardino — but none currently in Redlands... California’s iconic fast-food joint plans to put its new restaurant at the southwest corner of West Lugonia Avenue and Citrus Plaza Drive — technically in the “doughnut hole,” an unincorporated area surrounded by Redlands.
The location will be a merge of two vacant lots to create a 2.1-acre site. Plans also include new lanes for the expected lines of traffic. No target date of opening has been announced as of press time, which will be influenced by the approval of building permits.
