Once again, fire is the culprit.

Introduction
I write extensively about the Walmart superchain, one of the world’s most successful retail entities, for NewsBreak. Of late, most of my articles have detailed ongoing company controversies or individual store closures.
As it regards the latter, the company tends to permanently close locations in the event of underperformance-related issues, or temporarily shutter stores in the event of a health or safety issue.
Of increasing frequency of late, however, the cause has been fire-related. More often than not, pending an investigation it is found that those fires have been intentionally set.
For example, my January 23rd NewsBreak article, Breaking: Longstanding Walmart Permanently Closing; Another Unexpectedly Reopening, is particularly relevant to this current piece due to the two titular locations being impacted due to arson. One of those locations has since permanently shuttered as a result.
My article excerpted a January 23rd report from WSBTV.com, “Walmart Announces Reopening of Vine City Store, Permanently Closing Howell Mill Location,” that stated the then-newly-announced status of both entities had come as a surprise to their patrons.
As excerpted from the report: After a thorough review of all factors related to our Vine City and Howell Mill Road stores, we have made the decision to reopen our Vine City location as a Walmart Neighborhood Market and permanently close our Howell Mill Road location. Unfortunately, a variety of economic headwinds existed at both stores before they were closed due to arson,” said Walmart.
Tonight we have received word that yet another Walmart location, this one in Holland, Ohio is now indefinitely closed due to matters related to fire. The cause is pending an investigation with no formal determination yet disclosed.
Let us explore further.
Walmart, 2023
According to a report from 13ABC.com, entitled “Holland Walmart Temporarily Closed Following Fire,” the fire has been contained but the store remains closed.
As excerpted from the report: Springfield Township Fire Department battled a fire at a local Walmart, Thursday. According to the Springfield Township Fire Department fire crews responded to a call of smoke in the bathroom of the Walmart located on 1355 S McCord Rd. Fire crews told 13abc that a paper towel dispenser had caught on fire. However, the fire was contained to just the bathroom and crews were able to extinguish it with no injuries. Crews said the store did not sustain any damages.
The report went on to state the location will remain shuttered until further notice, and the matter is being investigated.
Conclusion
This is a developing story. As ever, in the event of pertinent updates I will share them here on NewsBreak.
