If you plan to visit some lakes in the great state of Georgia this summer, you should add the following lake to your list.

One website has made a list of the most beautiful lakes in the United States. Here's what the one in Georgia was.

It was Lake Lanier, GA. It was ranked the 13th most beautiful lake in America.

The website says, "With about 700 miles of shoreline, Lake Lanier — whose water comes from the Blue Ridge Mountains — is the largest lake in Georgia. It was created in 1956 when the Buford Dam connected the Chattahoochee and Chestatee Rivers."

"One TripAdvisor user raves that if you haven't visited this lake, which is located outside Atlanta, "you should put it high on your priority list," the website also says.

The Lake Lanier website says, "Lake Lanier offers something for everyone. Though the most popular activities include fishing, boating, and camping, based on the area's abundant natural resources, Lake Lanier has recreational activities for the whole family. Lake Lanier has golfing facilities, as well as the world's best kayaking, water skiing, and swimming."

That's the lake in Georgia that has been ranked as one of the most beautiful in the United States!
