A trip to your local Amish Farmers' Market can treat you to many goodies. There's almost always a variety of fresh and delicious foods to choose from when you visit.
In the state of Virginia, there are a ton of great Amish Farmers' Markets but there's one that is a must-visit.
It's called the Shenandoah Heritage Market in Harrisonburg, VA.
The market's website says, "Sample some Old Fashioned Valley Goodness at the area’s largest Country Market. Enjoy the relaxed atmosphere of water gardens and park benches while you wander through 20+ locally owned and operated shops. Come enjoy a taste of the past."
The market is open from 10 am to 6 pm on Mondays through Saturdays.
This farmers' market offers Amish-made furniture, homestyle canned goods, quilt fabrics, bulk foods, baked goods, toys, fresh produce, and much more!
The market also has plenty of RV and Bus parking. The market also has a cafe, and an antique mall and offers Civil War memorabilia.
The market also has Grandma's Pantry. "Grandma's Pantry is a family-friendly place to buy bulk foods including baking, pasta, snacks, candy, dried fruit, cookbooks, honey, nuts, rice & beans, soups, spices, syrup & molasses, and trail mix," their website says.
The market's cafe is called The Hungry Farmer Cafe.
Their website goes on to say, "Whether you're looking for fresh deli wraps, salads, burgers, or just need a cupcake and a cup of coffee, The Hungry Farmer Cafe has it. The variety can't be beaten and neither can the food! You will find out-of-this-world burgers, fresh salads, delectable baked goods, homemade ice cream, gluten-free fare, and so much more!"
