In several different parts of the state of Kentucky today, there is a Tornado Warning, a Severe Thunderstorm Warning, and a Flash Flood Warning according to the National Weather Service (NWS).

The Tornado Warning is in effect for Southern Logan County, Simpson County, and Southwestern Warren County. The warning will be in effect until shortly after this afternoon.

"Flying debris will be dangerous to those caught without shelter. Mobile homes will be damaged or destroyed. Damage to roofs, windows, and vehicles will occur. Tree damage is likely," the NWS released in a statement.

The NWS advises that people affected by the Tornado Warning should move to a basement or the interior room on the lowest floor of a sturdy building. They also advise you to stay away from windows and find shelter fast if you are outside.

A Severe Thunderstorm Warning is in effect for Eastern Marion County and Southeastern Washington County. Winds could get as high as 70 miles per hour. The Warning will stay in effect until this afternoon says the NWS.

A Flash Flood Warning is in effect for the following counties: Casey, Green, Lincoln, Taylor, Adair, Allen, Barren, Metcalfe, Russell, and Warren, according to the NWS.

"Flash flooding of small creeks and streams, urban areas, highways, streets and underpasses as well as other poor drainage and low-lying areas," the NWS released in another statement.

The NWS advises that you turn around if you see flooding as you are driving as most flood deaths occur in vehicles.

A Tornado Watch is in effect until 6 PM in the following counties; Boyle, Cumberland, Hart, Clinton, Larue, Edmonson, and Monroe according to the NWS.
