A new restaurant will soon be opening its doors to the Marshfield public. Casa Amigos Mexican Restaurant will be taking over an abandoned building on Central Avenue, formerly the site of the "Hudson's" restaurant. The building has been abandoned for some time, but the remodeling of the interior has gone on for the past several months.

This will be the second Casa Amigos restaurant to be opened in the north-central Wisconsin area. The first location opened in Merrill back in September of 2020. This new location will offer bar seating, restaurant seating, and outdoor seating, according to owners Yareldi and Ramon Gutierrez. When asked about the Marshfield location, they said it's been on their radar for quite some time. They even considered starting work on the new location last Fall. "We actually wanted to go look in Marshfield before we opened in Merrill but that didn't go through. We went back and found this location and decided it would be perfect." Yareldi said.

According to the restaurant's Facebook page, it should be open before December. It was originally planned on opening in October, but they're currently waiting on some issues to be resolved. Open interviews for the restaurant were on October 17th for waitstaff and a busser.
