The Oconomowoc Police Department is introducing the public to its newest “four-legged officer,” a K9 named Gabo.
Gabo was “completely donor funded” by members of the community, according to the police news release.
“The Oconomowoc Police Department would like to introduce everyone to our newest four-legged officer, K9 Gabo (pronounced GAH-BO),” Oconomowoc police wrote.
“K9 Gabo is a 15-month-old German Shepherd/Belgian Malinois mix from Hungary. K9 Gabo, along with his handler Officer Josh Mosher, began their five-week training at Jessiffany Canine Services, LLC on March 6, 2023. K9 Gabo will be trained in narcotics detection, tracking, area/building searches, article searches, and handler protection.”
