There are some amazing restaurants nearby. If you want a drive-in, you can go to Swenson's or SkyWay. If you want a burger, there are tons of choices there too. When it comes to sit-down restaurants, there are so many fantastic establishments to choose from it can be overwhelming. So here are three modern restaurants to try that are only a few minutes away.

When you want to enjoy a great meal at a sit-down restaurant, Crave is a great option whenever you're near downtown Akron. The menu is very diverse menu with global influences. Here are a few highlights to consider. The cornflake crusted chicken features manchego, caramelized onion, Carolina mustard BBQ, smoked paprika aioli on sourdough. The pulled pork sandwich is on a pretzel bun and includes smoked mozzarella cheese, sriracha slaw and root beer braised pork. The black Angus burger comes on a brioche bun and has crispy onions and Cajun aioli on top. No matter what you choose, the food is really good at Crave and it's always a great experience.

The food and drinks were really good. The menu has something for everyone. I really enjoyed my Dirty Mediterranean martini, and my friend recommended the grapefruit martini. We had good service and enjoyed the experience. alilodd80

BOMBA offers its guests the flavors and culture of Cuba, Central & South America and the Caribbean. BOMBA has more than 75 premium rums and signature rum cocktails are classically crafted from house recipes. The homemade Carribean salsa made with mango, pickled jalapenos and red onion is fantastic and comes with plantain chips and tortilla chips that are made in house. Let's just say there wasn't any left over and the picture below is my proof. It was incredible. And for only $3.50 for a whole bag of homemade chips and fresh salsa, it's an absolute deal!

I recently visited on a Friday evening and the place was absolutely hopping. I had the Cuban sandwich with Bomba fries and it was fantastic! Melted swiss cheese, ham and pork with pickles and amazing spicy brown mustard. Bomba Churros are the only dessert option, but that's okay as they are delicious and feature both marshmallow and Mexican chocolate dipping sauces.

Those are my three favorite sit-down restaurants in Akron. Did you have a restaurant that you would like to add to the list? Feel free to add it to the comments. Thanks!

Piada is a unique twist on traditional Italian food. The focus is on Italian street food. The first Piada restaurant was opened in 2010 and the mission was to create modern Italian food focused on the preparation of high quality ingredients and attention to simplistic cooking. Piada believes that today’s consumers are looking for healthier, better quality food with convenient, fast delivery to accommodate their hectic lifestyles. You can download the Piada app and order anytime at your convenience. Want to dine in? You can do that too and enjoy the nice, modern atmosphere.

The menu features hand-rolled piadas with chicken, avocado, lettuce and a varety of other ingredients. You can also order get classics such as Carbonera pasta which features tossed pasta, parmesan alfredo, bruschetta tomatoes, pancetta (bacon), spinach, and grated parmesan. And don't overlook the amazing salads such as the Farmer's Market salad. You can visit Piada's website here.

This place is like the Italian chipotle, but better. I was pretty overwhelmed at first. You can build your own pastas, salads & wraps aka Piadas so there's TONS of options. But with the help of the staff I was able to make one damn good piada filllllled with toppings, protein & pasta! This place was so unique for a first timer like me. The restaurant was clean, food was fresh, prices were reasonable, and the staff was happy. I'm looking forward to coming back! Chanel L.

Those are my three favorite restaurants to enjoy whenever I'm not in a hurry. Have you been to any of these restaurants?
