Craving some sushi? Well, here is a summary of where you can find the best sushi in the area. You won't be disappointed if you pick up sushi at any of these locations. These are the best of the best in the Akron area.
Sushi Katsu is found at 1446 North Portage path in Akron, Ohio right in the Merriman Valley area. I recommend the seafood salad which includes seaweed, cucumber, avocado, salmon, octopus, surf clam, shrimp, squid, red snapper sliced burdock root, crab, and more. There are daily specials available every day. For example, on Monday all handrolls are only $3.60. On Wednesday you canget a large sushi combo for only $12.50. It is normally $23.00 and features tuna, salmon, shrimp, eel, tuna, clam, squid and a tuna roll. If you're wanting a great variety of sushi, Sushi Katsu is the place to go.
The best sushi in the Akron/Fairlawn area. You can tell they take care in what they make. The large chirashi is well thought-out and is amazing. You can tell how good a Japanese restaurant is by how well they do that dish and how it's composed. I've never been disappointed in anything I've ordered. The wait may be a little bit longer, but that's because it's popular which is because the food is good and it's sushi and Japanese cuisine done correctly. Bryant S.
Fuji Hot Pot & Sushi
If you want a lot of sushi, that's exactly what you'll find at Fuji Hot Pot & Sushi. And the prices are affordable too. If you order the sushi regular you'll get a California roll, 9 pieces of sushi, soup and salad for less than $20. If you want an even bigger meal, you can get order the sushi deluxe for only a few dollars more which includes a tuna roll, 12 pieces sushi, soup, and salad. You'll have some left overs for sure!
Really surprising, and really good. I'd never had hot pot, but had seen plenty of YouTube videos of folks enjoying it. All-you-can-eat seems like a weird take on Golden Corral meets Chinese street food, but if you want a delicious, heaping portion of hot pot, this is a gold mine. Order slow and order few items. The plates are gigantic. Chris H.
This location is found right on State Road in Cuyahoga Falls. This place is amazing! The sushi rolls are big and fresh. Try the eel avocado roll. This roll is always well made and large but it does not have too much rice like a lot of places do. The flavor is wonderful, especially the eel sauce.
Decided to check out Ichiban on the recommendation of my son. Glad I did! Reasonably priced and delicious. They are currently take out only and have a setup in their vestibule for pickup and payment, one person at a time. Had the spicy seafood salad and a specialty roll, as well as a standard roll. I'll be back! Marcia H.
