Need a cure for those quarantine blues? Well, I've searched high and low for the most fun activities happening in and around Portland this week, and it turns out, we live in one of the best places in the world for unique entertainment! So let's get you out of the house and having a great (and safe) time!
1. Pix in the Park: The Goonies 8/27
Shute Park in Hillsboro is showing an Oregon favorite for their last show of the season on August 27th: The Goonies! Come watch everyones favorite treasure adventure on a big screen, under the open sky. Perfect for the family, the friend group, or a lone foray for a great flick and some people watching. Don't forget to bring a blanket or chairs (low backed only, lets be considerate). Bring a picnic or get food there at one of the food vendors available.
The movie is rated PG and has a 1 hour 45 min run time. Seating begins at 8 pm, and the movie starts at dusk, between 8:30 and 9:00 PM.

2. Sabroso, a Night of Latin Funk, 8/27
Spend your Friday night mixing it up on the rooftop courtyard of the Collective on 4th, an urban apartment with aims of bringing the community together. The show goes from 6-8 PM on August 27th and will feature a Sabroso quartet for a special night of Latin funk. They'll be serving pizza and wine provided by the 1905 as long as supplies last.
The Collective on 4th does have restricted access but the show is free and open to the public. A resident will be letting people in for the first 15 minutes, so arrive on time for this one of a kind experience.

3. Paint and Sip at Oak Knoll Winery 8/29
The Oak Knoll Winery is proud to be hosting an amazing Paint and Sip event this Sunday, August 29th from 12 to 2 PM. Featuring a Barrel Hoop sign thats sure the be a crowd pleaser, you'll leave this event with a beautiful home accent that you made yourself! They use round wine barrel hoops from a variety of local wineries that measure between 25 and 28 inches in diameter, and there are several design options to choose from. Plus, you have a selection of amazing wine tastings to get those creative juices flowing!

4. Frog Pond Farm Walk About 8/27-8/29
The Frog Pond Farm is offering an exciting walk about of their family friendly property. Bring the kids (or your immature best friend) to see camels, llamas, emus and over 13 other species in 15 separate enclosures. This event is the perfect pandemic outing. With more than 5 acres of farm land to explore, you can social distance to your heart's content. Plus you get a free animal feed cup with your admission!
You don't need a reservation for this one either, just head down and get your tickets at the gate. Doggos are welcome as long as they're on a leash at all times.
