"A child who sings is a happy child." -Elder Enrique Falabella

Monday, April 25th at 7:00 pm at Lee Little Theater over forty happy children will be singing in the Gila Valley Children's Chorale directed by Ethan McBride.

Monday's performance will be a Disney-themed show with a variety of music. The children have been practicing for months for this performance. It will be an exciting night for the singers to show how much they have learned this semester.

The Gila Valley children's chorale has been led by Ethan McBride since 2019. Ethan is from a musical family and he has been singing and performing since he was very young. Ethan currently sings for the Eastern Arizona College community Jazz Band. Ethan won Gila Idol in 2012 and has performed in the preliminaries and final shows.

Leading the Gila Valley Chorale, Ethan gets the opportunity to teach children music theory, singing techniques, harmony, solfege, rhythm, and more. According to singing is very beneficial. It lowers stress, decreases pain, improves mood, and provides greater social connectedness.

If you would like to get your child involved in this community program, enrollment is open and you can find the link on the Gila Valley Chorale Facebook or Instagram Page. Children from 2nd grade to 8th grade are eligible to register. The cost is $110 for the semester which includes the GVC t-shirt required for the performances. The Chorale meets every Thursday evening. Meeting times will be announced soon.

GVC has two full tuition scholarships available the upcoming semester. Please contact Ethan for more information.

Monday's performance is free. Lee Little Theater is located inside the Gherald L Hoopes Activities Center at EAC. For more information about the performance and the choir please visit Gila Valley Chorale on Facebook or Instagram.
