Several New Restaurants Participating in Houston Restaurant Weeks 2021

HOUSTON, TX - This year, Houston Restaurant Weeks takes place from August 1 - September 6. Led by Katie Stone, daughter of the late HRW founder, this month-long dining-for-charity fundraiser event has more than 200 restaurants participating.

Participating restaurants serve menus at set prices and donate a portion of the sale benefits to the Houston Food Bank. $20 for brunch or lunch, $35 or $49 for dinner, and include a $3 or $5 donation, respectively. There are 22 new restaurants participating in this charity dining event. Here are several of them.

1. Fadi's Mediterranean Grill

The founder and chef Fadi Dimassi has been committed to serving the authentic Mediterranean and Lebanese cuisine in the city for the past 25 years. Dimassi brings family-owned recipes from his hometown in Lebanon through his cooking. For the HRW, Fadi's menu features fresh Shrimp Kabob served with rice and grilled vegetables, a healthy salad like fried cauliflower, Kale, or Quinoa. And you can choose between the lady fingers, baklava, or rice pudding for dessert.

2. Dak & Bop

This locally-owned restaurant first started in 2014 in Houston's Museum District. Dak & Bop proudly serves a menu that has a combination of Asian and Mexican culinary influences. This restaurant specializes in Korean-style fried chicken. You can enjoy their Dak Sandwich loaded with juicy fried chicken, kombak sauce, yangbaechu slaw, and house pickles on their HRW menu. Or try the six fried chicken wings that come with your choice of sriracha-honey-lime sauce, hot & spicy, medium-spicy, or soy-garlic.

3. Baja Sur Fresh Mex

If you are a fan of Tex-Mex food, Baja Sur Fresh Mex is your place. Owned by local restaurateurs, Jason Daly and John Amato, this restaurant has a new and unique concept of Tex-Mex restaurant in a vibrant environment. You can enjoy the HRW menu features Flautas stuffed with roasted chicken and guacamole on the side. Or try Blackened Fish Tacos of mahi-mahi served with signature green sauce and avocado.
