HOUSTON, TX — Houston-based premier private day and boarding school, The Village School recently declared Bill Delbrugge as their new principal. Equipped with more than thirty years of experience in education, Delbrugge joined The Village School while also bringing along over ten years of hands-on experience as headmaster at schools in Egypt and Dubai.

Prior to joining The Village School, Delbrugge was the founding headmaster at the Dunecrest American School in Dubai. At Dunecrest, he cultivated a culture of educational excellence where students were known as positive as well as active community members. Moreover, before Dunecrest, Delbrugge was the headmaster at The American International School in Egypt, and superintendent of Flagler County Public Schools in Palm Coast in Florida.
While serving as the headmaster at The American International School in Egypt, Delbrugge's team helped expanding the school's student enrollment from 1,100 students to currently over 3,500 students, located across two campuses. He also led the teachers and students to achieve a hundred percent pass rate with the International Baccalaureate (IB) Diploma Program four years in a row.
Started his journey as a teacher in Chattanooga, Tennessee, Delbrugge's career has included his position as the director of research and reporting at the Georgia Department of Education and the president of the Mediterranean Association of International Schools. He obtained his Bachelors of Science in music education from the University of Tennessee and his Masters of Science in educational leadership from Trevecca University in Nashville, Tennessee.
Delbrugge claimed that he is extremely proud and honored to be joining The Village School as the new head of school.
