Anime Matsuri Convention to hold Anime Matsuri 2021 on July 8

HOUSTON — Anime Matsuri Convention will be holding the Anime Matsuri 2021, an annual anime and other Japanese culture-related arts convention, from July 8 through 11.

This year's Anime Matsuri will be at George R. Brown Convention Center on 1001 Avenida De Las Americas, Houston, Texas. The doors open at 4 p.m.

This convention is an assemblage of thousands of Japanese culture and art fans in America. There will be over 1,800,000 square feet of anime, panels, workshops, special guests, celebrities, vendor/exhibitor area, artist alley, live concerts, Japanese fashion show, cosplay contests, and over 1,000 hours of programming well as a Japanese car show. Anime Matsuri also provides a specific mobile phone app for fans to catch up with all information about the convention.

Hosted by DMan1954, this year's convention special guests range from cosplayers and animation studios from all around the world. Starting from the Japan-native cosplayer Mahio, Racing Miku Supporters, a Ukraine native cosplayer Pugoffka, WIT Animation Studio Japan, and many more.

There are also music performances by The Made Monster and Latin American voice talents such as Patricia Acevado and Genero Vasquez. The Godzilla vs. Kong main cast Kaylee Hottle will also be at the convention.

The tickets, or 'badges' as they say, are available online for various prospective visitors. There is a 4-day pass that costs $80 and a Superpass for $230 that includes priority privileges when purchasing ticketed event(s), autographs, an Anime Matsuri t-shirt, access to the Superpass Lounge, and several other perks. There is also an on-the-spot ticket for $85.
