Austin is home to some of the trendiest restaurants in the United States. Austin, capital of Texas is known for its craft beers, hiking trails and lakes but also it has some of the most fun and unique restaurants.

Speaking of unique and trendy restaurants, I recently came across a place called Taquero Mucho. It is a Mexican restaurant in the heart of Austin, Texas. On first glance, this place is pink. It's like a pink fairytale restaurant. It's fun, vibrant and absolutely makes for the perfect Instagram shots. However, what I didn't realize was that the food is pink too. Yes. From the waffles to the drinks and even tacos. Yes, a pink tacos. Isn't that amazing?

About Taquero Mucho

Here to stay and here for the woman who wants to feel loved, celebrated and empowered.

Taquero Mucho was founded by Gabriela Bucio, a fierce, go-getter boss lady. She wanted to create a space where women can feel loved, celebrated and empowered and she did exactly that. She made the place pink with feminine energy and it has become a power house in Austin. As a latina, she's passionate about preserving her heritage and culture and you can see it shine all the way through in Taquero Mucho.

Taquero Mucho invites you and all the special women in your life to join Gabriela, her family and team to some pink tacos, pink margaritas and their instafamous Anti-Bitch Juice. - Taquero Mucho

The restaurant itself

Let's talk about the ambience of the restaurant first. Taquiero Mucho's vibe is a fun, laidback and instagrammable one. It is dorned in all pink and is truly a good spot to go to in Austin. On weekends, brunch is served, lunch, dinner and also cocktails. Right now, due to physical distancing, they have a cute outdoor setting that's open to the public.

The food and drinks

This place is more than just a pretty Instagram spot. You can get some really delicious Mexican food here and really enjoy a relaxing time with your friends. While they are open daily, brunch is only served on weekends between 11am and 3pm so if you're hoping to brunch here, keep that in mind. Check out the brunch menu here.
