Many people are craving a vacation right now, and with the vaccine rollout in the United States, the time for a vacation isn't so far away now. If you live in San Diego and are on the lookout for the perfect, most hassle free travel destination, then look no further than Los Cabos, Mexico.

There are many reasons why Los Cabos is perfect for San Diego residents. Here are a few of them to consider.

Reasons why Los Cabos, Mexico is the perfect vacation destination for San Diego residents

1.) Direct flights from San Diego to Los Cabos

Only a few things beat the convenience that direct flight offer and in a world of multiple connections and draining layovers, this is such a plus. Getting to Los Cabos from San Diego is very easy. There are lots of airlines that offer direct flights from the San Diego International Airport, Alaska Airlines being one of them. So skip the layover vacations and opt for direct flights instead - this is also a good option in this pandemic environment - the less contact with people and surfaces, the better.

2.) A short flight from San Diego

Similar to the above, you can also cut down flight time by opting for a location like Los Cabos that's only a two-hour flight from San Diego. Closer destinations are all the rage right now and no one needs to be on a 14-hour flight to the other side of the world when they can get a two-hour flight that scratches the itch to travel. It's all about being smart and safe in this time.

3.) A beautiful yet different culture from San Diego

You know what they say, once in a year go somewhere you haven't been before. This is especially a good opportunity to experience a different culture from what you are familiar with in San Diego. You're exploring not only the authentic Mexican culture but the uniqueness of California Baja, Mexico. Not much to complain about here, is there?

4.) No visa required to visit (as long as your trip duration is less than 90 days)

This isn't news but definitely worth mentioning for those who may not be aware. US citizens do not require visas to Mexico if they are visiting for less than 90 days. How hassle-free can a vacation be?

5.) COVID Specific: No test required, no quarantine required

With the rise in cases all over the globe, many countries require negative COVID test before entry. Well, not Mexico. You do not have to submit a COVID 19 negative test before you visit and you also do not have to quarantine when you get there - so you can go straight to exploring what the country has to offer. Of course, you'll have to wear a mask and comply with social distancing procedures but you wouldn't have to quarantine.

Upon return to the US though, you'll need to have a negative COVID test (NAAT or Antigen). Many hotels can arrane that for you on their property.
