The institution develops the Local Community by teaching youths healthy cooking styles, by introducing to them traditional recipes and methods of cooking for higher nutrition value. This is where I learned with my colleagues who are now restaurant owners. I am a caterer and I can prepare meals with traditional ingredients and herbs that maintain a balanced diet and promote a healthy lifestyle. Thanks to Heart of Los Angeles for the unending knowledge about diverse health and nutrition, the side effects of packaged foods, the importance of consuming traditionally made food, and the different cooking methods recommended for it.
