GASTON COUNTY, NC — Fall is around the corner. Put on your jacket and celebrate the season by going outdoors and enjoy the cool autumn breeze at Gaston County. Here are some activity options:

1. Celebrate an outdoor lifestyle

Put on your shoes or grab your paddle to compete at Whitewater Center's various events such as the Labor Day celebration, 5K and 15K trail races, live music featuring Keller & the Keels, and Tuck Fest.

2. Wagon rides and pumpkins

Hop on a wagon and ride around Lineberger's Farm spotting the orange Pumpkin in all shapes and sizes, family-grown corn stalks, and interesting gourds.

3. Spooky Maze at a Fall Festival

Lewis Farms presents a variety of fall activities including pick a pumpkin, spooky maze, corn maze, hay bale mountain, hayride, blacksmith demo, sheep herding demo, and pony rides.

4. The Moon is coming

The "Museum of the Moon" presented by Luke Jerram will be in downtown Belmont this fall. Stroll along Main Street to find evening galleries featuring local art, theatrical performances, live music, and other events with the Moon as the main backdrop.

5. Heritage & Harvest Days

The Cotton Ginning Days are back this fall with a fresh new name, the Heritage & Harvest Days. The event features the same activities that were canceled in 2020 such as the engine show, handmade craft vendors, kids activities, and more.

6. Don’t miss the final game

The final home games at Claremont Park will bring together the Gastonia Honey Hunters, Lexington Legends, and West Virginia Power to close out the season.
