It should come as no surprise that 2021 has of course, flown by so far. It is already almost May. The weather is warming and it is almost summer in Reno. The pandemic is still with us, in fact, Nevada’s numbers are not going in the direction we would all wish. Vaccinations are happening but again, that looks to be slowing down as well and it would be great to have this number rise because we all want to enjoy something of a normal summer in Reno, right?

Here are a few upcoming events in our Reno area that kick off in May.

The AVA Ballet Theatre is giving a two night performance of The Little Mermaid at the Pioneer Center for the Performing Arts. Performances are limited to 250 people and tickets are available here.

On the sports end of things folks can look forward to the Reno Aces vs. the Las Vegas Aviators at Greater Nevada Field. In addition to sports, music and concerts are starting to kick off again. A list of concerts in the area can be found here, and also here. On May 8th we also have the Reno River Festival Craft Beer Experience that takes place at Wingfield Park. Tickets and more information are available here

You can look for mom-friendly, covid-safe and delicious Mother’s Day options for Mother’s Day brunch. A list of ideas can be found here. Also, here.

Also in May many of our local pools open to kick off the start of the summer season. A list of the local pools, their hours and community pricing and schedule can be found here.
