And finally, Pretty Cool Ice Cream, home of original flavors and plant-based options, is opening a shop in Lincoln Park.

Parlor Pizza's Chicago locations shut down after raids

According to NBC5 Chicago, a spokesperson from the Illinois Department of Revenue would not comment on the investigations of Parlor Pizza. But did say that the department investigates "potential violations of the Illinois Tax Act."

Chicago launches investigation into El Milagro for alleged labor standard violations

Chicago's office of labor standards and the Illinois Department of Labor has launched an investigation into El Milagro after receiving complaints of unsafe conditions.

Workers have staged walkouts recently to protest low pay and harsh working conditions. One worker told ABC7 Chicago, "They're not machines, they're people that are simply asking for good wages, good benefits and to be treated with dignity and respect."

  • keeping bushes trimmed
  • disposing of garbage properly
  • keeping your patio space clean

Pretty Cool Ice Cream bringing its unique flavors, popular ice cream bars to new Lincoln Park location

Pretty Cool has had great success with its Logan Square location. And now it's opening an additional shop in Lincoln Park.

The shop serves ice cream in nontraditional ways, offering plant-milk-based bars and popsicles, ice cream bars, fruit buttermilk bars, and ice cream on a stick.

“We’re ready and excited to open,” said founder Dana Salls Cree. “All the ice cream is made, the staff is hired and trained and they all have their uniforms. We’re ready to show up.”
