Fajita Pete's is a Mexican restaurant in the Katy, Texas area. I discovered it and with the word fajitas in the name of the restaurant, you know it has got to be good, for fajitas at the very least, right?

This restaurant review is for the Fajita Pete's - Katy Texas location. Youw will read about the food, the service, and overall impression. I will also share whether or not I recommend you try Fajita Pete’s. Let's go.

The Food

So, as I mentioned, with the word fajitas in the restaurant in name you know they have got to be amazing for fajitas.

I am a total fajita nut. Any time I visit a Mexican restaurant I have got to order fajitas. And I'm pretty picky too. My favorite is beef fajitas which are made with tender steak. I don't want the steak to be thickly cut or the fatty or rubbery. It's got to be just right and really go well with the entire meal.

My go to for beef fajitas is usually Chili's. I can't go wrong with Chili's beef fajitas. I've had some other fajitas that have been good but for consistency, it’s usually Chili’s, I have to say.

The first time I tried Fajita Pete’s I ordered the veggie fajitas. My husband and I were either vegan or pescatarian at the time and we didn’t want any meat.

They were absolutely delicious.

Talking about them now makes me want to eat them. You get roasted veggies like peppers and onions with all the fajita fixings like cheese, sour cream, tomato, guacamole, plus beans, rice, and tortillas.

One fajita in a tortilla is enough to fill you up but you will want to keep eating because it’s that good!

It’s probably the best fajita place I have had. Although I have not had their beef fajitas yet, I’m sure they will outperform Chili’s. I just have a feeling.

We have also recently tried the shrimp fajitas.

You get the same in your meal except with perfectly cooked and well seasoned shrimp. The shrimp makes the meal more filling (compared to veggies) and you will be so stuffed with just one fajita.

The rice and beans are so good, like stand out good. It’s probably the best refried beans I’ve eaten in my life and the rice is very good too.

The food is always fresh and super good.

The Service

I can’t complain. Friendly staff. Patient workers. We haven’t had any issue with our orders.

The Price

The shrimp fajitas we order feel a little expensive. A serving is $16.99 and it feels a little small. I think you get better value if you order the family order but unfortunately it's not available in shrimp fajitas, at least according to Doordash.

Is it worth it though?

The portion size is enough for two meals because the food just feels so filling so you can eat dinner and have leftovers. I imagine if you ate it all you would be uncomfortably stuffed.

I would price this restaurant at a hair above average price of competitor restaurants.

Overall impresion

Fajita Pete’s is rated 10 out of 10. It is my new favorite place for fajitas.

They have a nice sized menu so you will like the variety and you can go crazy and try a few different things on their menu. We have had the veggie fajitas and shrimp fajitas. We have also had the queso with chips which is also quite good. I think you really can't go wrong.

Final Recommendation

Go try Fajita Pete's. Super delicious food. They have more than fajitas so feel free to try some other menu items. You will also love their queso. It's rich, cheesy goodness. Try these guys out!
