Thinking about starting a business for yourself but concerned about startup costs? You may be excited to hear that you can start your own company with less costs than you think, some potentially free to start and I’ve got 5 awesome business ideas you can start from home with little to no out of pocket expense.

Check out these 5 smart ideas to start a business with no money.

1. HVAC Repair

Do you know how to repair A/C and heating units? This is a skill everyone does not have but if you know how to do it, you could be making a nice income for yourself.

A friend of our family does this and he makes a nice living. He loves the freedom and flexibility it gives him. He is out and about fixing HVAC units during the day. He makes his own schedule and the time goes by so fast.

2. Accounting/CPA

Another service-based business is accounting and you can break into this field and launch your own company with little to no out of pocket costs.

If you know accounting, you can help others with their “books.”

You can manage their accounting business throughout the month and do this with multiple companies, making a nice living.

This is for people who are certified in accounting. It’s really not the kind of job that you can self-teach yourself like writing or graphic design, so keep that in mind.

3. Social Media Manager

Can you really get paid to play on social media?

Yes!

Social media management is great because it allows you to help businesses grow on social media. You can grow their social presence, get them followers, and create traffic from social networks back to their business.

This is great for Instagram, Pinterest, YouTube and other social networks.

If you’ve never done this before, this is the kind of job that you can teach yourself. You can also take classes free or minimally costs on places like Skillshare, Udemy or the many free courses across the internet like on Hubspot.

Social media managers can charge $1,000/month or more depending on how many networks they manage, per client. Ten clients per month means $10,000/mo. Sound interesting?

4.Copywriting

Make money writing copy for your clients which can include:

  • Teachers
  • Podcasters
  • Magazines
  • Publishers
  • Small businesses
  • Online stores

You can write resumes, white papers, articles, sales pages, blog posts and more. If you love writing, this is a good field to be in. A background in writing and educational background is usually not required. As long as you have the skills to produce a polished document according to the standards of your client then you're good to go! Look into this!

5. Influencer

Make money as an influencer and monetize your influence on Tik Tok, YouTube, Pinterest, Instagram or other networks. You can make a lot of money sharing your favorite products with your fans through affiliate marketing or sponsorships.

Top influencers make six to seven figures annually and they are all self taught. This is such a new field and very lucrattive. There's plenty of room for you to join the industry and rep yourself as an influencer.

To get started, begin building up your social following on your network of choice. Pick one or two social media networks to start and focus on then you can grow the rest over time, if you'd like. Interact with fans, be engaging, host events, collaborate with other influencers and treat this as a business if you want to get "business-like" results!

If you're new to this altogether, look at starting on Tik Tok. They have some incredibly fast growth and can get you on the path you're looking for.
