If you are a pet lover then this might be the perfect gig for you.

It's just what it sounds like. You will be paid to walk one or more dogs for short walks. There are a couple companies that offer this. You can either work for the company as an independent contractor or employee or you can start your own dog walking company.

It'll be easier to get started making money if you work for a dog walking company and a lot of them offer a ton of flexibility which you will really enjoy. You can definitely make more money in your own dog walking business but it requires a lot more work and effort and it may take some time before you make your first dollar.

Some dog walking companies to check out are:

2. Pet sitting

Pet sitting is making money babysitting pets. For pet owners that may travel or go out of town, they'll need someone to watch their pet for them. This can include grooming, feeding, and other requirements depending on the animal and owners.

Try Pet Sitter for pet sitting or you can also look to start your own pet sitting business.

3. Babysitting

Babysitting makes you money watching kids. This will usually be for short stints of time and like a few hours, while parents are at work or on date night.

If this is interesting to you, be sure to check the requirements in your area as some places may require you to be licensed to be a babysitter.

This can be very high paying, earning you as much as $40 per hour as a babysitter, especially where more complex tasks may be required like cooking or administering medicine.

4. E-commerce

E-commerce is all about running your own online store. You start by picking a niche, which is going to be your store category like beauty, health, sports or another niche.

Then you create your online store, add products and sell to the public.

Running an e-commerce business is actually what helped me quit my day job almost seven years ago. It was a very rewarding and fulfilling experience that I learned a lot about and it has helped me run other parts of my business today.

5. Selling digital products

Selling digital products is not only a lucrative opportunity to make you money but it is a way to earn passive income. Examples of digital products include digital courses, ebooks, calendars, organizers, recipe sheets, and a lot more.

Identifying your audience is an important first step. You want to keep them in mind as you are creating your products so you can best serve them with your products.

You can sell digital products in an online store or marketplace. You can also sell on social media, your email list, and other places.

6. Social media management

You can work from home managing social media for companies as a social media manager. Some of your tasks might include:

  • Posting to social media
  • Keyword research
  • Creating graphics
  • Engaging with fans
  • Analytics and data reporting
  • Creating a social media calendar and executing it

This one might sound like the perfect opportunity to play on social media and to be honest, it can kind of be like that.

If you are obsessed with social media or you are well-organized and a great communicator then this may be the perfect work from home job for you.

I have been personally doing social media management off and on for years and I totally love it. My schedule is flexible, the work is high paying, I enjoy diving into the numbers, doing A/B testing, experimenting with new strategies to help my clients get the best possible results for their campaign, and more.

7. Paid ad management

Do you know how to get good results with paid ads?

You can make money working from home managing advertising campaigns or your clients. This is a very lucrative industry and if you have experience doing this and getting results, consider pursuing this as a work-from-home job.

If you don't have experience but you would love to learn, there are many awesome courses that you can take that teach you paid ad management. Consider one to increase your body of knowledge so you'll be more prepared to take on paying clients.

8. Virtual assistance

Virtual assistants are professionals that help their client with their day-to-day schedule virtually.

If it sounds like a personal assistant who works online then you are right on the ball. You'll be doing admin-related tasks and activities which will vary based on the needs of your client, which can include but are not limited to:

  • Email management
  • Calendar management
  • Social media posting
  • And, more!

Working as a virtual assistant can also be very high paying and if you can manage multiple clients at once, you will make even more money.

You can also scale this business for yourself, creating a virtual assistant agency where VA's report to you and this gives you the opportunity to make even more money overseeing an agency.

9. Survey-taking and panels

Survey-taking and participating in panels is about sharing your opinion for money through market research.

It's a way to work from home and make some extra money, earning you up to two figures per survey, or up to $10 to $20 or more for each survey you take. You can make into the hundreds for online panel studies.

Though panels can pay up to $500 or more per online study, getting into them consistently will probably not happen.

So mixing between surveys and panels, together can help you earn up to a few hundred dollars per month for your time.

You can see this is not a high paying opportunity but, it's super easy to do from home or on-the-go, anywhere you have access to a computer or cell phone.
