After almost three years of being on the run, Gloria Villa Avila, a Nashville murder suspect was finally taken into custody in El Paso, Texas.

El Paso, TX- 41-year-old Gloria Villa Avila was taken into custody at the U.S.-Mexico border in El Paso.

Avila killed her fiancé, 44-year-old Ismael Rodgriguez (also known as Mayo) in September 2019 on Rehnea Drive in Old Hickory, Tennessee. His skeletal remains were dumped on the side of the road in Kentucky.

After Avila murdered Rodriguez and disposed of his body, she attempted to cover up the murder and pretended to be him by sending text messages to his loved ones and messages through Facebook messenger from his cell phone.

Mayito is survived by so many people that love and miss him. He didn't deserve to die, much less be thrown away like trash. This monster had no remorse for the gruesome crime that she committed. She murdered him in cold blood and moved on with her life. She abused him mentally and physically, isolated him from his friends and family, and then she killed him and fled the country. -
